Charles Feldman was an American talent agent and film producer, born on April 26, 1904, in New York City. He began his career in the entertainment industry as an assistant to the head of publicity at Warner Bros. Studios in the 1920s.
In the 1930s, he started his own talent agency, the Charles K. Feldman Agency, which went on to represent some of the biggest stars of the era, including Elizabeth Taylor, Ingrid Bergman, Marlene Dietrich, and Joan Crawford.
Feldman also produced several successful films, including A Streetcar Named Desire (1951), What's New, Pussycat? (1965), Casino Royale (1967), and The Seven Year Itch (1955).
In addition to his work in the entertainment industry, Feldman was known for his lavish lifestyle and his associations with Hollywood's elite. He was rumored to have had romantic relationships with several of his female clients, including Elizabeth Taylor, whom he briefly married in 1957.
Feldman died on May 25, 1968, at the age of 64.
